Default Agitates Slowly, spins/fills/rinses great
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LLT8244BQ1
Age: 5 - 10 years

Good day all,

Our trusty Whirlpool is having advanced signs of old age. It goes through all the cycles just fine, but the agitator barely turns during the wash cycle. It seems to turn a bit more if I press down on the agitator, but I can't be sure if it really makes much difference.

I've looked through the posts, but can't find much on anything that relates to an agitator that works some, but much less than it should

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

Mark

Remove the little bolt under the agitator cap, with a 7/16 socket and then pull off agitator, you'll probably find the splines are stripped in the plastic of the old agitator,if so replace agitator.
