My washing machine (top load) is making a loud noise when agitating. I immediately stopped it, thought it was overloaded. I emptied the clothes and started it back up, same noise. It seems like the tub is off balance. It emptied and spun out fine. I (well not I, a friend) replaced the transmission about a year ago and I have a ton of extra (maytag) parts. I'm hoping someone can tell me what to look for thats broke or going broke. Thanks
Ok, I'll edit to add, I checked the belt and it seemed ok. And I had a friend check the Idler arm, it seemed OK. It seems like there is a small bowling ball in the tub. The noise is very consistant. Do I need to supply more info?
