The Agitate does not spin, but the tub does. The washer makes a loud noise during the time the agitate would spin.

With the washer empty tilt it back toward the wall.

Remove the dust cap from the center of the pulley.

Turn the pulley clock wise and see if the cam engages.

The cam may be damaged.
