Default Advice on getting nut off of washer tub
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WPSR3100W0WW
Age: More than 10 years

Any suggestions on how to get the basket nut, that holds the basket to the transmission assy., off. This is the 1 and 11/16 aluminun left handed nut. Ive tried PB Blaster to loosten it but it does not want to budge. any tricks of the trade, or help would be appreciated

I use a short pipe wrench that when on the nut, the handle dosen't touch the tub,
then wack it with a heavy hammer a couple times, a claw hammer won't work very well. place a throw rug in the area so you don't hit the fragil plastic tub!
