Brand: Maytag
Age: Less than 1 year

brand new, still in box, bought for move abroad, the guy in the store said i should buy the electrical connection for it in my new country. is this right? seems strange it would not have cable (although i do realise that the plug will be different)

please someone help me.

He is probably right
It may not only be the plug
Depending where you are moving to they can get very picky about wire size and even the wire colors
Better to get it there or you may end up with a cable which is useless
