Default 10 year old Washer worth fixing?
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LSR8233EQ
Age: More than 10 years

Washer will just agitate but won't move to the next cycles. Is it worth having someone to come out and look at? I wouldn't be able to fix myself. Not very mechanically inclined!

Sounds like your lid switch is broken, if so it will only agitate

Default Easy Fix?

Is it an easy fix to replace the lid switch? How do I go about doing?

Remove the 2 phillips screws from bottom front right & left, of the control panel now tilt the control
panel back on it's hinges pry the 2 brass clips that hold the cabinet on,and un plug the lidswitch, from the top of washer. Now lift off cabinet toward you and move it out of your way. remove the 2 screws that hold the old lid switch and replace with new one then put the cabinet back on

Sounds like the timer to me. Also unplug before you start taking things apart.
