Default Whirpool Fridge - Door Water, Ice, Light Non Functional
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GC5THGXLB00
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi... Thanks for any help ahead of time!

I have a Whirpool Gold 2 door Fridge with Ice and Water dispenser on the freezer door.

Non of the controls on the front door are working. The light/ice/water dispenser are all dead.

The icemaker is working and fills the bin however that is the only action that I can get.

The model is - GC5THGXLB00 Built in 06/02

Serial Number - SM2433850

Any help is appreciated. Also any help on how to change out the part or the part that I need is appreciated.

Thanks again ahead of time!

Peter S.

You will have to check the wiring in the fridge.

To remove the dispenser trim locate the two slots along the bottom of the trim.

With a screwdriver pry out until the trim pops off then slid the trim up and off the retainers.

Here is a link to your fridge model GC5THGXLB00.

Peter --

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am having the exact same problem with my fridge which is the same model except ours is stainless.

Thanks,

Andy
