Water is over flowing into the ice bin and freezing, just replaced to water valve

did you also replace the icemaker? I had the same problem, but not with the valve. The kit I received required that I "punch out" a small bit of plastic (D-shaped, about as big as a quarter) to allow the inlet tube to properly line up with the ice maker.
