Hi, I removed the icemaker assembly after replacing the water valve. I poured too much water in the tray attempting to get it up and running again. It started a cycle but froze up. Now that I removed the unit Im wondering how to "time" the outside gear assy with the internal mech. before re-installing. Any tips or ideas.
Thanks.

The fridge/freezer is a model#ED25PWXXW00

Ok, I took the ice maker apart. If I just reassemble it will the fact that the shafts and cogs only key together 1 way insure that it is properly set up?? Does that make sense???Thanks.

If it will go together one way it should be right. Did the gears(lock up) freeze up or did the ejector freeze up in the ice.

The ice maker quit flowing water to the mold so I replaced the water valve..When I powered the unit back up it started to cycle and the gear rotated from about 12 o clock to 2 oclock and seemed to stop...at that point I poured water into the mold but put too much in and it didnt move anymore. Im not sure if it froze the ejector blades up or the gears locked up ..I then removed the whole unit and disassembled it. Ill put it back in this morning and hope for the best.
Thanks for the reply
