Whirlpool Ice Maker stopped working even though the water dispenser is fine. Whirlpool's initial recommendation was to unplug and defrost but without a secondary cooling unit, this is not an option. Has anyone else had a similar problem with this model or a similar model?

Are there any lights on?

Has someone accidentally shut the unit off?

Check behind the kick plate under the doors for papers on how to test the ice maker.
