Default Where is the drain in the freezer located?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TFX30PRYD BB
Age: More than 10 years

After reading several posts here... I'm positive that the drain on the freezer side of my side by side refrigerator is frozen up. I've cleaned out the ice but I don't see a drain of any sort.
In the back of the freezer compartment there are two side panels that run down the entire length of the freezer, but with no obvious "hole/drain" in them... (They are also shelf supports.)
Where is the drain?
And, how do you clear it?

The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer which are behind the back panel. You may have to remove the lower part of the panel to see it.
It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little air pressure will usually clear it out. Flush it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough when you're through.
