Default Where is defrost timer located?
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: ksbp25fkss01
Age: 1 - 4 years

Kitchenaid superba side X side not cold

Brand: KitchenAid

Model Number: ksbp25fkss01

Age: 4 years MFG DATE 03/2003

First noticed that the water dispenser stopped yesterday evening, this morning inside warm. No air circulation. No INTERIOR motor of fan sounds are audible. Lights on interior do operate. Control panel for temp adj in ref. section does light up. Therefore not a question of power to unit.

I have cleaned condenser coils under the unit, do have animals that shed, so was full of hair. Now cleaned.

The back inside of freezer had frost on the coils, (more on top than bottom),we let it thaw, turned back on, the lines are freezing/icing up. The little fan, Evaporator Fan, above lines does not seem to turn on to rotate.

I have disconnected defrost thermostat and jumped wires, still no movement in the fan.

If it is the defrost timer, where is it located on this model? Is it a board vs unit? Not in kick area or behind controls on the ref side.

Any suggestions????thanks

Your fridge is an electronic model and does not have a defrost timer.

There should be a technician sheet tucked in the kick plate that will tell you how to tests the operation.

Here is a link to your fridge model ksbp25fkss01.

There is a web site called service matters that you can get the technician sheet from.

When you get in to the site click on technical reference under the service related title.

You must accept the terms.

Click on the technical library then tech sheets/wiring diagrams.

Then type in your model number.

Then click on the Click here button.

You will have to print the pages to read them.
