Default Water tubing broke
Brand: Amana
Model Number: SZD22NL
Age: More than 10 years

I recently purchsed this refrigerator cheap. Suppossedly it all worked fine. But the guys that moved it to my house removed the dispensing side of the door to get it into my house. Once hooked up none of the dispensing parts work. no ice is made. No ice is dispensed nor is ice water dispensed. And the Automatic night light does not work. But it does freeze food. And the refrigerator side works fine.

The only absolute thing I know for sure is that a water hose is cracked and water leaks out when the water dispenser lever is activated.

Take the grill off from the bottom of the fridge and the plastic tube is exposed. That's where it is cracked. And it is that bottom part of the door that they did not fully unhinge (Shoemaker movers).

Assumming the oroginal owners ae correct that it all worked when i bought it, Could that leacking hose possibly be the cause of all the problems? Ot what? And how do I fix it.
Thanks!
Regards,
Curtis

Of course you'll have to thread new tubing but I don't think that's all your problem . Power is the problem. The water dispenser opens the water inlet valve on the back of unit so it works. Find the wire plug they took loose to remove the door. Make sure it's connected. If it is, look for wire damage.

Ok. Thanks! I did check the wires. They look fine. I then decided to experiment. I made a bunch of ice cubes and dumped then into the ice cube box. And the ice cube dispenser and crushed ice dispenser works! So i'm guessing just the tubing needs to be replaced. Sound right?
If so, my next question is, where do I get the tubing, off the internet, I need to know how to relace it. Do I have to replace anything beside the plastic tubing when I make this repair? Thanks!
