Default Water tastes bad after ice maker hose replacement

Age: More than 10 years
I just replaced the plastic hose that runs in to the water valve with the flexible rubber type. it works great, but the water tastes funny - will this eventually go away?

What is the part number of the hose that you used?

What is the model number to your fridge?
