Water spraying around ice maker Brand: General Electric Model Number: TFX25 Age: 5 - 10 years Last nite I found water on the floor near the fridge. After investigating, I saw it was coming from the freezer (side x side). I looked in at the ice maker and it was a mess as well as the frozen foods where water had leaked on to them.
After cleaning up and removing the bin (frozen in place also), I noticed that the water was leaking from the metal parts (the tray ?). Even after putting up the "arm" the water seemed to still be coming in. I turned off the water supply.
I could not find anything leaking but I didn't disasemble the ice maker though. I tried again, after clean up but it was still leaking.
I am not sure if it is the solenoid passing water or if it is something more drastic.
Before I call out the serviceman (or buy a new fridge, like the wife wants), is there any advice or things I can try ?
Please help quick.
