Default Water Running Down Freezer Door
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: SSS25KFPAWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Water was running down the front of the freezer door from the dispencer area. I watched the icemaker go through a cycle, and noticed that when it was filling with water, the preasure there was low. When the icemaker was filled with water, the water would not cut off. It would overflow, and travel through the tray, and out the door. Can you please help me to know what could be my problem. It is not easy to move the fridge, so I would like to know more about this before I try to pull it out of the hole that it is in... Thank you

If the line to the fridge from your house plumbing has a saddle type valve in it that is could be your problem.

What happen is the valve gets block and cause low water pressure to the fridge. The valve on the fridge is close by water pressure.

If you don't have a saddle type valve there may be a piece of dirt in the valve not allowing it to close like it should.

A saddle valve is the type that is clamped on to a water pipe not solder in.

Here is a link to your fridge model SSS25KFPAWW.
