Default Water reservoir
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: ed22dqxbb00
Age: More than 10 years

if you do not use the in door water dispenser do you need to have the water reservoir. Does it effect the ice maker. I have a leak in my reservoir and would like to remove it.

Can I splice the lines together after I remove the reservoir and do I need to worry about pressure building up.

No it won't affect the water supply to the ice maker. You have a dual water inlet valve. One for ice and one for water.
