Everything in the fridge had froze so I replaced the thermostat and new vent motor in my side by side refrigerator. This fixed the freezing problem but I now have a problem with the icemaker and cold water. When the ice or water is pushed on the door the water comes out of the filter inside the fridge. I thought the line was frozen but it has been a week and still when the ice make comes on or the water in the door is pushed water comes out of the filter as if no gasket is in the filter.

If you have any suggestions please help me.

There has to be a blockage somewhere.

It could be in the water tank.

It is possible that the water in the tank or coil did not have a chance to thaw out.

Try defrosting the tank with a hair dryer. It is in the fresh food section.

Lets hope you have a blockage somewhere, if that isn't the case, Check the lines leading into and out of, the filter, they are plastic and can split if frozen hard, you said the fresh food section froze, right?
