Default Water not dispensing from freezer door
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS25LGMBWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

With freezer door shut, depressing water dispensor, and union disconnected below freezer door, water comes out just fine.
I believe there is a clog in the water line (in the freezer door - about a foot from the dispensor). I tried to snake multistrand 12 guage wire up through the water line and down through the dispensor and hit something solid. I thought it might be frozen, so I turned the freezer temp to the warmest setting. Still clogged. Is there another union in the freezer door? is there a way to access the line in the freezer door? If it is frozen, what would cause that?

Try a hairdryer on the line at the dispenser for about 5 minutes. Freezing in the door is a common problem.

Default It's working again.

I tried the hair dryer before.... today I used a 'nasal spray' container with hot water. sprayed it up/down into the water outlet. after several attempts....and some built-up 'internal pressure (from cycling the demand for water) the water line 'blew' the obstruction. Let's hope it dosen't freeze up again too soon?!
