Default Water line Routing and poor volumn for ice and water in the door
Brand: Amana
Model Number: SXD26V
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have very low water volumn in the door and the ice tray puts out very thin and hollow cubes. I checked the water pressure and volumn at the tap and it is great. I replaced the first valve and it did not solve the problem. I know there is a second valve but my question is, Does the water from 1st valve go to the filter and then back to the second valve before it goes to the icemaker and the water in the door or does the water go directly to the second valve and then to the filter? Right now I am thinking something is going on with the filter.
Thanks for you help

Yes the water from the first valve goes to the filter and from the filter to the second.

If you have thin hollow ice cubes there is to much water in the tray.

To decrease the amount of water take the front cover of the ice make and locate the screw in the top right corner below the screw that hold the plate to the ice maker.

Turn the screw clock wise to decrease the amount of water in the tray.

Check the valve for the dispenser for proper operation.

Here is a link to your fridge model SXD26V.
