Default Water leaking from below Freezer Door
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: RSW22EO
Age: More than 10 years

I seem to have a continuing water leakage problem below my freezer door. It is not a lot of water but about a 16 oz glass. It happens sometime during the night? I have taken the back panel off to check for a plugged drain and that is not the problem. The water through the door and ice maker both work as well as ice dispenser in the door. I just cannot figure out what is wrong?

Check the pan that sits over the compressor for cracks or holes.

The drain may not look plugged but the hose may have a blockage.

Here is a link to your fridge model RSW22E0.

Is there any delay, even an insignificant one, when you get water from the door? My water line had a crack and when I'd get water from the door, water would spray onto the floor from under my fridge. At first I would not see the water, just notice there was a very slight delay. Then later (as the crack grew?) I noticed water in the evening. Due to procrastination I eventually would see water soon after getting any from the door.

If you pull your fridge out and take the panels off, or inspect your floor for water marks, you might see the most probable area the water is coming from.

Try taking the bottom grille off and check the water line coupler that connects the hose in the door to the hose under the freezer going to the main part of the fridge's water system.

there is plastic tubing that supplies the along the fridge & after awhile of normal usuage the tubing becomes brittle and leaks! also check the gasket on the door. if that isn't sealing properly condensation builds-up creating h2o leakeage!
