About 5 weeks ago, the ice maker stopped working. From this forum I determined to check the solenoid, water inlet, (water dispenser in the door worked all the time), found a frozen fill tube, thawed it out, and the ice maker worked well for 2 weeks. Then one morning, I found water on the floor, water frozen all over the ice tray, ice bin and shelf. (as tho the water did not shut off). I thawed the unit out, turned off the water valve, filled ice tray with 6oz water manually, and ice dispensed every 2 to 2.5 hrs. After several days I turned the water valve on, but the water did not shut off to the ice maker and continued to flow at a dribble until the ice bin fills 2/3 and freezes. What should I do now?

Did you replace the water inlet valve . Sounds like it leaks continuously and needs replaced.

thanks woodchuck for the return answer, I'll see if I can get a valve for this unit and let you know
