Default Water to ice maker keeps dripping
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TFH24PR
Age: More than 10 years

The line to the ice maker keeps dripping into the tray causing it to overflow and freeze down the inside of the freezer and some to drain out on the floor of the kitchen. Also it dosen't seem like the refrigerator side is cooling down all the way.
Can you help me?

It sounds like you may have two problems.

First the ice maker fill tube dripping.

It is either caused by a piece of dirt holding the valve open, a sticky valve or low water pressure to the fridge.

You will have to check the water pressure at the fill valve.

Water pressure is what closes the valve.

Second if the fridge section seems warm check in the freezer section behind the back panel and see if there is an ice build up.

If there is an ice build up there is a problem with the defrost cycle.

To check the defrost cycle locate the defrost timer in the control panel in the fridge section.

With the compressor running turn the knob on the defrost timer until the compressor shuts off.

The fridge will now be in the defrost cycle.

If the heater comes on and melts the ice the timer will have to be replaced.

If the ice does not melt then there is a problem with the heater or the defrost thermostat.

You will need an ohm meter to check them.

The thermostat can only be check if it is operating temperature.

Here is a link to your fridge model TFH24PR.

There are four more letters to your model number to make it complete.

They can be found in the fridge section on a tag with the serial number.
