I have a refrigerator that is exactly one year old. Today, the water and ice mechanism started blinking. The numbers and lights blink. While this is happening, the door to dispense ice opens and closes, opens and closes. It will do this for a few minutes then quits. When it has stopped, none of the buttons work and water or ice will not come out. The refrigerator and freezer still work. Thanks for any help.

It sounds like it may be the electronic board.

Try unplugging the fridge and waiting twenty minutes then plugging back in.

If this does not reset then I would recommend a service call.

See other threads on this model. Known problem with this model. Maytag will fix if you call them. It's a bad board.

Which board fixed the problem? HV board behind the refrigerator? LV board on left door behind the key pad? Or keypad board?
