I have a Frigidaire (FRS26ZRF) refrigerator with a water/ice dispenser in the door.

The problem I am having is with the water/ice dispenser. When I retrieve water or ice the unit sticks on for a few seconds continuing to dispense ice/water after the cup has been removed. It dispenses water and ice just fine, it just doesn't stop dispensing when it is suppose to.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The actuator is sticking.

This is caused by adding ice to the glass after the liquid is in it.

The liquid if other than water splashes up on the actuator causing it to be come sticky.

You may try taking the actuator apart and cleaning it.

If this does not solve your trouble you may have to replace it.

You will need the last two digits of your model to get the right color of actuator.
