My side by side GE refrigerator (Mod: TPX24BRYABB) will not dispense water or ice. When trying to operate (fill beverage glass) and the button on the door is pushed in absolutely nothing happens (not even a sound is heard internally). Can you help?

The ice maker does operate however, the ice and water dispenser does not on this GE side by side (TPX24BRYABB) refrigerator. Would the water inlet valve still play a role in the dispenser not functioning for both the ice and water dispenser?

I have a GE side by side w/ice and water dispenser. And water stopped dispensing. The repairman told me over the phone (nice guy!) to drape a heavy blanket over the freezer part (to keep cold air in) and open the freezer door all the way and leave it open.
The water dispensing line had frozen and the room temp. air will unfreeze it. It took nearly two hours of the door being opened. But no repair charge and no new parts needed!!
