Default Water ice control panel
Brand: Amana
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello, the panel on my amana side by side which controls the selection of cubes or crushed ice, dispenser lock etc has gone dead. There are no indicater lights on and I can't change from cubes to crushed. I can still get water by pushing on the blue drop and I can get ice, but I have to open the ice dispenser door with my finger to get the cubes out. I took off the panel and looked for loose wires but found none. Does anyone have any idea whats going on here? Larry

I have also pulled out the freezer door switch and checked the connections and it looked fine (the light is functional when the freezer door opens).
The problem with the "dead" control panel seems to be intermittent. At times it is dead and at times it is working, at least until I open the freezer door, then it is dead again.
I thought that it might be a deactivated sabbath mode, but that wasn't the problem.
The model number is ARSE66ZBS, and the serial # is 10288491AX.
anyone have this problem before?
