Default Water forever
Model Number: HMG 24902
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have an Admiral refridgerator/freezer side by side. When the ice maker fills the tray, the water won't stop running. It runs all over my freezer. What a pain. Can you help?

If the water will not stop coming in to the ice maker you either have a stuck water valve that is located at the back of the fridge or the water pressure coming to the fridge is low.

To check the water pressure shut the water off to the fridge and disconnect the water line.

Hold the line in a bucket and have someone turn the water on.

Can you please verify your model number?

It is located on a tag in the fridge section with serial number.

Sounds like your fridge needs a water inlet valve kit.

I have a Whirlpool that does the same thing and that is what I have found out.

See if anyone else chimes in. Good luck.
