Default Water droplets and intermittent frost
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PSF26MGWWW
Age: Less than 1 year

I have a brand new GE Profile side by side refrigerator. Since day one I have been getting frost in the freezer. It lasts for a couple of hours and then goes away. This cycle happens about once or twice a week. Repairman has come twice, checked the gaskets, and replaced the door to the ice shoot. Still having the problem. I am also getting water droplets on a lot of my refrigerated food - especially the vegetables in the crisper drawer. I bought a fridge/freezer thermometer which said the crisper drawer was at 40 degrees (even though the fridge is set at 33). I also tested the freezer and for awhile it was at 0 degrees (even though it is set at -1) and now I just checked and it is at 10 degrees. Why could the temperature be fluctuating so much? Is this the cause of the intermittent frost and the water droplets on my food? Please tell me this is not normal for a $2000 refrigerator!!! I have already had to accept the fact that one door sticks out further than the other, and one of the handles wiggles - but now my food is not staying fresh as long. Needless to say, I am beyond frustrated.

I would keep the repair man coming since it's brand new and a full one year warranty.

Could air be leaking in around the loose door handle causing the excess moisture. What is the frost forming on in the freezer.

The frost forms on the outside of frozen food boxes, the inside of plastic bags, and the walls of the freezer - and it all disappears in a few hours. The water droplets in the fridge form on the inside of plastic bags (pretty much anything that is in a ziploc). It happens in the veggie drawer, the meat drawer, and in the main compartment. The water droplets do not disappear.

That totally sounds like an air leak. If the door gasket is good and the ice door is sealing good you may have to empty it and remove and panels you can to inspect for openings and places the air could come in.
