Water Dripping from Freezer into refrigerator Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years I have water dripping from the freezer into the refrigerator. There is an opening with some type of port or vent on the upper surface of the refrigerator compartment, and water is dripping from this port. The freezer is above the refrigerator. I have placed a cup to catch the drippings and have to empty it every other day.
I suspect some type of drain tube may be blocked, but have no knowledge of what to check, or how. The drain pan under the bottom of the fridge, is dry. I'm kind of guessing that the water that should be dripping down there is not making there.
The unit is a Costco/Kirkland brand, and I think it is made by Whirlpool, but I'm not certain of this. I don't have model number with me, but can follow up with it tomorrow.
Do I need to call a repair person, or is this a owner fixable problem? or do I need to buy a new unit?
Thanks for any help.
