Default Water Dispenser Not Working
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: frs26hf7bw2
Age: More than 10 years

We just moved into a new house with a Frigidaire side-by-side with water and ice dispenser model # frs26hf7bw2. The water was running REALLY slow (basically a trickle) so I pulled the filter out and it was dirty. I replaced the filter and the water pretty much stopped. The ice bucket is full so I know water must be getting in somehow. We pulled the copper pipe off the valve in the back to see if there was any flow and there is - although it's also pretty light. When we connected the copper pipe back up, the water dispenser started to work, although again, not very strong (but stronger than before). It worked for about 30 seconds, then completely stopped altogether. We can hear the motor running to dispense water but nothing is coming out.

I appreciate any help. BTW the house was only unoccupied for a few days before we moved in so the fridge didn't sit for very long without use.

Thanks

Here is the valve at the back of your fridge.

Check each solenoid for continuity.

We actually know the solenoid that is by it self is good because water is getting in the fridge.

We know that the one for the ice maker is good because you have ice.

You should get the same reading on all three solenoids.
