Default Water Dispenser Leaking; already replaced water inlet valve
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.5757779
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore side-by-side fridge, model #106.5757779. We moved about 2 years ago and the water dispenser suddenly stopped working the day we moved. The ice dispenser continued to operate perfectly. A few weeks ago, water started dripping from the water dispenser and made the floor wet. I tried using it and noticed that it now worked, but did not sound right. Water dripped sporadically from the nozzle after we had stopped using the dispenser. I replaced the water inlet valve and tried it again yesterday. It sounds much better, and water runs to both the icemaker and water dispenser. However, water still drips out of the water dispenser when not in use. I ran water for almost 15 minutes to clean the air and dirt out of the lines, with no success in stopping the dripping. I checked the fittings at the inlet valve and near the bottom of the door to make sure they were tight, and they were.

Also, I disconnected the wire lead from the dispenser portion of the inlet valve, and water still dripped from the dispenser (even though I could not send water through the valve as it had no power). I tried this with both the old and new inlet water valves with the same result.

Any ideas as to what I could be missing?

Thanks!
