Hi Folks.. Now I ain't a real dummy but this is wierd. Checked both water valves, resistance within range. Opened and cleaned the water valves removing debris from the gasket seats. Put back together.

It all works fine... then all by itself without any indication or trigger the water dispenses about 6 ounces! No specific time period could be one hour, 6 hours, anything. Was thinking maybe the ice maker was the trigger? Hold smokes... must be magic.

I guess we could replace the main water solenoid valve but what would cause the water to dispense by itself? The ice maker works just fine.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, it it figured out! Guess I am a dummy after all!. Origional problem was debris in the water valve seat. When reassembling the solenoid retractor spring got installed wrong and would never fully close. When the Ice Maker actuator turned that valve on the water bypassed the open dispenser valve and sent water to the dispenser also. So that is why the ice worked. So.. what was happening is then the ice filled it also came out the dispenser. Thanks for reading.. Vinnie
