Ice cube maker works so does crushed ice work. A GE repair man replace the small pump in the rear of the unit and the cold water dispenser worked for a day.
When called back after paying $200 he said it would be another $200 to fix. I decided against that because I lost faith in his ability to fix the problem. Since then I noticed that the Water Resivour was leaking so I replaced it myself. The water fills the resivour when I press the door control for a glass of water but it doesn't seem to go any further and no water goes up the door into the glass.
What could the problem be and can I fix it myself with you help? I am fairly handy and if it's not to complicated, with your instructions I think I could do the repair if you can instruct or come up with an answer to the problem. The rest of the refrigerator is in excellent shape, except that in the door where the ice cubes are dispensed the flap that opens does not always close. Is it worth fixing that problem along with the water dispenser problem. An answer to these questions is greatly appreciated, and I am looking forward to hearing about your solutions to these matters if there are some.

It is possible that the line in the door is frozen.

Disconnect the water line at the bottom of the freezer door and see it you get water flow there when you press the dispenser control.

Place a pan under the door to catch the water in the line.

If water flows you will know that there is a blockage in the door some ware.

If the dispenser door is sticking open check the tube in the dispenser area.

Use a hair dryer on the low setting to defrost the dispenser area.
