I have a Kenmore side by side refrigerator (with water filter in grille). The ice maker works fine, but all of a sudden the water dispenser quit working completely. Attempted to purchase a new water filter first to see if that could possibly be the problem (I will withhold the specifics of why I still don't have the new filter, but suffice it to say that some employees of Sears don't realize they are hired to wait on CUSTOMERS who are trying to make purchases instead of having personal conservations with 'alleged' customers AND waiting on CALL IN CUSTOMERS before even acknowledging the live in the store customers who were there first )
Any direction would be greatly appreciated !

There is a valve at the back of the fridge where the water line hooks to.

On this valve there are two solenoids.

One solenoid is for the water dispenser and the other is for the ice maker.

It is possible that the solenoid for the water dispenser is faulty.

You will need an ohm meter to check the solenoids.
