About a week ago the water dispenser on my GE GSS25LGMA CC refrigerator stopped working. It is still making ice. I have not taken anything apart yet and when I looked on GE’s website at the schematic it showed two possible valves I could replace.

valve asm water – reference no 795 – part no wr57x10023
water valve asm – reference no 799 – part no wr57x10024

I see there are others that are having the same problem as I am but being new to the "fix-the-fridge-yourself" category I was hoping someone could tell me which part I would need to replace and where would be the cheapest place to by the parts.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The best thing to do is check the valves with a meter to find out which valve is bad.

Will the unit still dispense ice?
