Default Water dispenser
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MSD2756GEW
Age: 5 - 10 years

We had just moved into our home and had to clean the fridge. I turned it off inside the fresh food section to clean the entire thing. I had also noticed the Change Filter light was on. I turned it off and figured I will just have to get a new filter. When I turned it back on roughly an hour later, water would not dispense. I can here it click when I press on the doohickey with the glass. I should also mention that when we lost power for 40 minutes, I tried the water dispenser after power was restored (thinking it magically reset itself) and about 2 ounces came out then nothing. We have no problem with the ice dispenser so the wate is getting to that OK. Can you give me a direction to go on this?
Thanks

Check the valve at the back of the fridge.

There are two solenoids one is for the ice maker and the other is for the water dispenser.

Here is a link to your fridge model MSD2756GEW.

Here is the water valve.

That was it. thanks - While we were behind the fridge, we noticed the drain pan is full of mold (actually hanging off the rubber drain hose). There is no front grill to remove and we can't get to it from behind. How do we remove the drain pan so I can defunk it?

On the front of the fridge there is a grill that runs across the bottom.

Remove this grill to access the pan.

In order to remove the grill, it looks like the hinges to the door have to be removed also. the water line runs through the grill also. From the back of the unit, the pan is small and appears to sit behind/under the slope of the third drawer. I am still confused.

Sorry I was thinking of the older models.

With this fridge it is not an easy job.

The pan is screwed to the bottom and the only way to remove it is to tip the fridge on it side.

The best thing to do is wipe it out as mush as you can from the back.
