I have a similar fridge, similar problem. My model is KBUDT4865E . the water is coming from the left/freezer side hinge. I'm not sure where the drain in the back panel is? Do you mean the back of the door or the back of the entire unit?

I don't know the post you refer to but the defrost drain tube is usually at the very back of the freezer near the bottom. The tube gets stopped up with dust underneath and the water drains too slow and freezes.
