Default Water coming from ice maker
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TFX27RLB
Age: More than 10 years

I have a GE TFX27RLB, and i hooked up the water fort he water and the icemaker, when i turned on the water i started to see water come out of the freezer , i opened up the freezer to see water flowing fromthe ice maker. Anyone know of what is going on and how i can fix this issue? I would love to get the ICE maker working. I have not tested the water dispensor becuase if i turn onthe water again it will flood my kitchen again. ANy help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you.

The valve on the back of the fridge is closed by water pressure.

Check the water pressure there may be a restriction in the water line causing this problem.

please bare with me i am new at this, Which valve should i be looking at? WHta is the part number? And what would i do to clear it?

Your water inlet valve is part 800 on this diagram. On the back near the bottom. You'll see a water line going into it. There is a picture of it in the parts list. part 800.
