Default Water comes out slow
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TPX24PPDBB
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a GE Profile Performance side-by-side refrig, and the water only trickles out now? Any suggestions? Ice dispenses fine.

This could be caused by the fill valve located at the back of the fridge or if you are using a water filter this could be blocked.

Can you verify your model number for me? There may be one or more characters missing.

Hello Sheila, thank you for the reply; My Model # is TPX24PPDA BB Serial number RZ261566.

Yes, I am using a water filter and it also has an adapter.

Here is a link to your fridge model TPX24PPDA BB.

This is a picture of the fill valve.

One side is for the water dispenser the other is for the ice maker.

This is likely your problem.

Have someone check this with a meter.

After you get water from the door, inspect the floor under the fridge to see if water is pooling there. I had a cracked line to the door causing a delay in water delivery and poor output. Turned out it was due to the remaining water getting delivered to the floor.
