Default Water in bottom of fridge
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 45 Series
Age: More than 10 years

There is water pooling in the bottom of my fridge under the crisper. I have read on some sites about the drain hose being frozen or plugged but can't find anything that gives me a diagram of where the problem is.
Help

Post your model, we may can find one. But it should be behind the crisper. There is a trough to direct the water and of course the water is frozen over the tube.
because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little air pressure will usually clear it out. Flush it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough.

There is nothing inside the fridge behind the crisper. I believe the model # is D120LGAA, I got that number off of the back at the bottom on I guess the motor but I am not sure

Model number will be on frame probably at front.

1. Check the hose under your fridge that drains condensation and such into a catch tray. Make sure the hose is draining properly.
2. Blow air through the tube to make sure it is not clogged. A coat hanger wire can be inserted to break up clogs. An alternative method is to use a bicycle pump to force air through the drain hole to remove any obstruction.

Ok, I did find the model # it is a Kenmore 45 Series, Model #c970-45708-1
I will check in the morning but I did take a flashlite and look underneath but I didn't even see a catch tray. This fridge belonged to a friend of mine. Household and appliance repairs are definitely not my area. Appreciate your help.

ok i checked at the back of the fridge on the bottom and didn't find a catch tray or a drain hose. there is a blk hose running down the back of the fridge behind the coils, but there is definitely no catch tray on the bottom. I have had this fridge since last december and this just started in the last month or so.

Since I've never seen one without a pan underneath, please look again way on in there under the unit. The fan under there probably blows air across it

Well I still don't know what exactly I am looking for, there is still water in the fridge, I am a single mom and anything electrical and quite a bit of other home maintenance jobs are a definite mystery to me. I just need some kind of diagram to show me what i am looking for. Can anyone help?

Default Same problem

I'm having the exact same problem and can't find any sort of drain hole in either the freezer or bottom of refrigerator!

I'm stumped.

This is a picture of my freezer. You can see the hole in the bottom of the trough.
