ok so i found that hole in my freezer with a plug in it, i pulled out the plug and can see some wires and some kind of pipe that looks frozen, i am assuming this is what needs to b thawed out, so i have emptied the fridge and freezer and unplugged it, do you think that this will work?

The drain hole does not have a plug in it. It has to be open to let the water drain out each time it defrost. I imagine the ice was in that hole with the cap on it because it just leaked by the cap.
Maybe you can trace the drain tube backwards from underneath at the tray to see where it is inside.

ok, well i left the fridge unplugged last nite after i had cleaned up the water in the bottom of the fridge, this morning there is no water anywhere inside or outside under the fridge. The hole inside the freezer is on the wall, so i am hoping that this was all it needed

Default drain hole

OK guys, I emptied out the freezer there is no type of hole on the bottom of the freezer - there is also no hole in refrigerator underneath the crispers.

I have a 15 year old Kenmore too! Where is this drain hole?

There is a round hole in the back wall, midway, of the freezer, about 1 inch wide with a white tube running behind it. Is this the hole? There is nothing plugging mine, it's just a round hole with a tube running behind it, I don't see anyway for that to drain any water. It's too high up and there is no place for the water to go . . ?

I "usually" really good about fixing things, this has me stumped!

that sounds similar to mine, i shut off the fridge last nite, cleaned it out and turned it back on so hopefully maybe that was all it needed. There was a white tub running down in mine as well. Before I turned it off, it had ice buildup all along the tube where i could see

Yes, but there is no drain hole per say and this hole is on a wall so I don't see how it's going to used for a drain. Mine does have frosted ice on it, which I would surmise it should have. Just a hole on the wall with a white tube.

I don't even know where that tube starts?

I think we're having the exact same problem here!!

Post or put your model number on this web site Appliance Parts From PartSelect | Repair Parts For Major Appliances
it shows diagrams for most models and you can look for the evaporator and the drain tube should be under it.
