Default Warm Freezer and Frige
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS20IEPCWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have cheked the coils....frost/ice on them. I defrosted with hair dryer. What should I do next? How long will it take for the ice to build up again?

Thanks!
Will

It will take about two days for the ice to build back up on the coils.

You will have to find out what part of the fridge is causing the defrost problem.

In behind the kick plate there should be a service sheet that will help you to find your problem.

It is either the heater, the defrost thermostat or the control board.

You will have to do the tests to find out which one it is.

Here is a link to your fridge model GSS20IEPCWW.

Sheila,

There is no service sheet. This refrigerator is only 4 years old. Does it have a defrost timer or is that pat of the control board? How do you test the control board, heater and t-stat?

Thanks!!

Will

The tech sheet could also be in the control panel in the fridge section.

Your fridge does not have a defrost timer.

It is part of the electronic board.
