Angry Warm Freezer and Fridge
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRT21C5AW9
Age: 1 - 4 years

Unit runs constantly but freezer never drops below 45 degrees and fridge portion stays about 60 degrees. I have replaced the defrost timer and the defrost thermostat. That did not help so I replaced the defrost heater and the thermostat again. No change in operation Timer does cycle the compressor and fan off every 8 hours and back on after 20-30 minutes. Old defrost heater and also new one do not warm up during defrost cycle Fan runs constantly except when unit is in the defrost mode. Any ideas of what I missed. The unit only freezes up on the extreme right hand side and not the total coil. Thanks for any input that may solve the problem

Since your defrost system is not working and it just ices up in a small spot , it sounds like low freon, which is part of the sealed system that has a five year warranty.

Make sure the condenser fan is running and the condenser coils are clean.(under the fridge.)

You still have a defrost problem though.
