Default Warm Freezer
Brand: Electrolux
Model Number: FFC25C8CW0
Age: 1 - 4 years

Our chest freezer for the past two or three weeks has maintained a minimum temperature of 25 degrees. When I turned the temperature control dial to coldest position, there was no change in temperature. The compressor seems fine and doesn't run all that much as would be expected if it was not the problem. I don't know what part to replace. I took voltage readings to ground before and after the temperature sensor and also from the three wires going into the temperature controller and everything seems to be 22.5 volts regardless of position. The temperature controller does turn the freezer on and off, however.
With further troubleshooting, I electrically bypassed the temp sensor and again no effect. Any help or further troubleshooting ideas?

Make sure the light is not staying on.

If the compressor is shutting off and coming back on at regular intervals it is your cold control that needs to be replaced.

Here is a link to your freezer model FFC25C8CW0.
