Default Upright Freezer gets really cold then warms up
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: EV150N
Age: More than 10 years

I plug my freezer in at about 11 PM. I check it around 7 AM the next day before I go to work and it is well below 0 deg F. I come back from work the same day around 5:30 PM and the temperature is above 32 deg F in the refrigerator range on my thermometer. I can unplug it for a few hours and then plug it back in and it gets real cold again. Also it seems like it is running all the time. I have tried setting the control at maximum, medium an minimum settings and it still does the same thing. Because it gets so cold I am sure my compresser, all the refrigerant lines and heat exchanging devices are OK. Any idea of which other component is causing my problem? Thanks in advance.
