Default Upright freezer door leaking/mildewing
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MQU1554AEW
Age: 1 - 4 years

We recently moved and since then we have noticed that our freezer is leaking water from the door and the door gasket is getting mildew/mold on it. How do I discover what the real source of the problem is - door out of adjustment or needing new gasket? At the lower outer corner of the door the gasker is obviously not connecting with the box, but there seems to be water collecting at the top center, also.

Can anyone advise?

Your freezer now may be leaning forward. Adjust front feet so freezer leans back a bit. If your gasket feels soft and not hard, just put duck tape on temporarily to hold door shut. This will facilitate door seal reforming to new shape.
