I've got a 3 yr old True TDD-3 Beer dispensing fridge that seems to run fine for a few days, then out of the blue it will freeze the contents. It's designed to run from 34-38 deg F. I have it at the lowest setting and my digital thermomoter says 38 ° F. I'm sure in the next day or so it will again run into the freezing temps.

I've thouroughly cleaned the coils when I recently bought the unit I. I know it could be the thermostat/controller, but I've recently heard someone say that it might be low on refrigerant.

Does anybody have any clues on what likely is causing this intermittent behavior?

It sounds like the control is faulty and not shutting the compressor of when it should.
