Default Top frz defrost problem?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TBX22PCSNLWW

Temps began to go up / unit ran 24hrs.
Yesterday cleaned coils, condensate drain tube/trap. Noticed condensate pan dry. Manually forwarded defrost timer and defrosted unit - moisture in pan. Temps came down (0 & <40).
Today, unit continues to run and ran all night last night. Checked pan and is again dry. Controls set an initial setting- C & 5. Temps still good -maybe too cold in frig
How often should defrost occur. Should pan be moist? Timer moves forward but I'm not aware it has defrsoted itself since I defrosted.
Thanks.

Your fridge should defrost every 8 hours.

The water in the pan will evaporate with the heat of the compressor.

If the fridge runs properly after you defrosted it you should replace the defrost timer.

Here is a link to your fridge model TBX22PCSNLWW.
