How do you test a defrost control unit, temp.thermostat my frig seems to cool fine but the fans runs to much, also i'm getting a slight and a short interference back to my electrical main panel and feeds back to rest of the house, all my grounds are tight,i get a short buzzing noise threw my phone only during this cycle, this only does it when the frig go's though a short cycle the fans can be running and i can hear a clicking sound when i put my ear on the side of the frig not a steady clicking 2or3 times,i been told that you should have a surge protector on your frig count of power failures, which we do once in a while...also the inside of the frig can freeze some things close the back...thank you for your help

Try this Refrigerator Repair Guide: How To Fix a Refrigerator - ACME HOW TO.com

But instead of a defrost timer you have an evaporative defrost control board. So if heater and defrost thermostat are ok you'll probably have to replace the board if defrost is your problem. Here is a diagram of yours. #4 Partselect.com - Whirlpool Appliance Parts And All Brands of Appliance Parts
